Fading Anonymity

I love being settled down and having a permanent address, but one nice thing about moving around a lot is that you are able to maintain a certain anonymity. You breeze in and out like the wind. Now that we are settling into our new home, we are getting to know our surroundings and our surroundings are getting to know us. Our anonymity is fading.

  1. 😀 😀 😀 Or you end up like me having moved 31 times in 73 years. (Which means, on average, I moved or was moved every 2.35 years. Rolling stones gather no moss I’ve been told. I believe the longest I’ve lived in any one place is 10 years but then I was a kid and could only move where my parents took me. Which means I’ve done A LOT of moving since then. And then there was the 2.5 years we traveled in our motorhome. Which is really lovely by the way, everything you own and/or love goes along with you everywhere you go…and when it’s time to move on you just start the motor and GO 🙂 I’m getting to be more and more of an introvert the older I become 🙂

  2. Or there’s me and my next door neighbour of 18 years, who only got round to having a conversation with each other last summer because… well… we’re both introverts. Quite sad in a way because we’ve since discovered that we’re more alike than we ever knew.
