What #Introverts Want You to Know about the Typing Indicator

Yesterday I was trading tweets, DMs, and Facebook messages with my friend and fellow INFJ @TaraSkurtu. She had expressed that the Facebook typing indicator (not to be confused with the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) that announces “A friend is writing a comment…” makes her anxious. We’re seeing those pulsing or undulating dots everywhere now. I think our level of comfort depends on who we’re communicating with, of course, but in general, I think anything that puts us on the spot has the potential for causing us grief.
